The GROW PA Grant Program is designed to support Pennsylvania college students by providing grants of up to $5,000 annually. This program aims to encourage students to enter programs of study that lead to in-demand occupations to strengthen the state’s economy and workforce. There are over 460 eligible programs of study or majors that lead to in-demand occupations in a variety of fields, such as business, education, computer science, STEM, nursing, allied health, and criminal justice. Eligible programs must lead to an associate or bachelor’s degree. Review the Grow PA Grant Classification of Instructional Program (CIP) Codes for a list of majors.

Grow PA has a work requirement. Applicants must commit to work in an in-demand occupation in Pennsylvania for the same amount of time as the program of study. For example, if a recipient completes an associate degree in early childhood education in two years, that person must work at a Pennsylvania-based job in early childhood education for two years. If a recipient does not meet the work requirement, the grant money received must be returned to the state.

For more information on eligibility and the application process, you can visit the official Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency website. Award decisions are made on a fist come first serve basis. Complete the Grow PA Scholarship Grant Application and submit the completed form through PHEAA Account Access
